Georgia Peach Festival kicks off in Fort Valley
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Thousands are expected to attended the Georgia Peach Festival this year.
The annual event kicked off it’s week long celebration in Fort Valley this weekend.
There were rides, children activities, and live entertainment and the world’s largest peach cobbler.
The festival honors peach growers for their contribution to Georgia’s economy and to the food industry nationwide.
The President of the Festival Georgia Sandee Khourly and Susan Story local Author expressed their thoughts on the event.
“Yes the peaches, this is the first of the season so its like, and they’re way better this year than the previous years said Khourly .” “Just meeting the people and saying poems and uhh just met alot of nice people said Story “.
