Georgia National Fair sets new record

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- The Georgia National fair was a success this year and one for the record books.

Fair organizers say 536,840 people joined the fun at the eleven day event. That’s 7% more than last year, which drew 501,528 visitors.

Saturday, October 15th was the busiest the fair has ever been in history, with 93,000 visitors.

Stephen Shimp, Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter Executive Director says that the staff “looks forward to what 2017 has to offer.”
