PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia National Fair is dishing out new and creative foods that are catching fairgoers’ attention.

Addie Hodges, marketing and communications specialist for the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter, says this year’s menu includes some exciting additions.

“We have new pork belly food,” she said. “We also have pina colada funnel cake that also kinda goes with the theme,” Hodges said. “There’s a Tybee Island hotdog with pimento cheese on it, so there is a very wide variety. There’s also a spicy pickled pizza, so that’s kind of fun and interesting. I’m excited to try that one.”

From deep-fried Oreos to bacon-wrapped everything, fair vendors are finding creative ways to bring bold new flavors to Middle Georgia.

The Georgia National Fair runs through Sunday, October 12 at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry. Get tickets here.
