Georgia National Fair Food Fight features 23 sweet and savory entries
Nine judges will evaluate 23 sweet and savory entries during the October 9 competition in Perry.

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia National Fair announced its Food Fight judging panel Thursday, with 41NBC anchor Tucker Sargent among the nine judges who will choose the best sweet and savory entries.
Fairgoers are invited to watch the competition at 11 a.m. Friday, October 9, in the Miller Murphy Howard Building. Hopkins Food Service is the presenting sponsor.
The other eight judges are Hannah Jett Theus of the Cherry Blossom Festival, social media influencer Kori Foy, WGXA News reporter Joshua Harrison-Williams, Miss Georgia Sophia Wootten, former UGA and Houston County quarterback Jake Fromm, “Survivor” winner Savannah Louie, Robins Air Force Base Col. Maritzel Castrellon and Perry Chamber President Maggie Schuyler.
The fair’s website lists 23 entries for the competition. They include a Peach Cobbler Corndog made with peach-filled batter and a peach drizzle, and The Liberty Cone, which combines mac and cheese, smoked pulled pork, coleslaw and barbecue sauce in a waffle cone. Other entries include Korean Corn Dog, Birria Street Taco Pizza, Mexican Street Corn Fries, Funnel Cake Cheese Curds and Deep Fried Pumpkin Oreos.
Fairgoers can also help choose the Fan Favorite, according to the fair’s social media post.

The 2026 Georgia National Fair starts Thursday, October 8 and runs through Sunday, October 18.
