PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Georgia National Fair visitors have several new and returning food and drink options this year, including barbecue, desserts, specialty coffee and even a new beer garden.

Proof of the Pudding is serving food at several stands across the fairgrounds. Options include the Hog Heaven barbecue sandwich, peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream and the Yankee Doodle Dot Cake, which highlights America’s 250th anniversary.

The Hog Heaven barbecue sandwich is available at Southern Cafe, while the Dot Cake can be found at The Proper coffee stand.

The Proper is making its first appearance at the fair. The family-owned and operated business, led by owner Caleb Folsom, serves hot and iced lattes, sparkling apple cider and custom energy drinks.

Folsom said the business adds a personal touch to its menu by naming its lattes after the family’s children.

Fairgoers looking for a sweet treat can also visit The Original Apple Fries, which is returning for its second year at the Georgia National Fair.

The stand serves fried Granny Smith apples tossed in cinnamon sugar, with caramel drizzle and the option to add ice cream. Visitors can also find extreme Jolly Rancher slushies.

The fair also features a new beer garden provided by Fox City Brewing Company, offering another option for visitors looking to enjoy refreshments during their visit.

Fairgoers can find The Original Apple Fries near the East Gate.

The Georgia National Fair continues through Sunday, October 18 at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter in Perry.
