Georgia man on probation admits to illegal machine gun possession, fentanyl intent
According to a news release, Jacks was on probation for a felony drug distribution conviction when he failed to comply with court-ordered community service and failed two drug tests.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A Georgia man is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Georgia.
39-year-old Rodricas Montreal Jacks of Sparta had prior drug convictions and admitted he intended to distribute fentanyl and other drugs when officers found him illegally in possession of three firearms, including a machine gun.
Jacks pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and faces up to 15 years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for June 2.
U.S. Attorney William R. “Will” Keyes released the following statement:
“Repeat felony offenders possessing the most dangerous weapons and distributing the deadliest drugs in our communities will be held accountable at the federal level, where there is no parole. We appreciate the dedication of our law enforcement partners to make our communities safer for all residents and working with us to ensure justice.”

Law enforcement officers searched his residence November 3, 2022, and found a machine gun and two additional firearms, including one that had been reported stolen. Officers also found fentanyl and marijuana that Jacks intended to distribute, along with multiple digital scales, small plastic bags and a large amount of cash. Suspected crack cocaine was also found inside his car.
