Georgia Lawyers Preparing For Legal Food Frenzy
MACON.Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)-Georgia’s Attorney General Sam Olens was in Macon today to promote a statewide food drive he’s leading. Olens was at the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank. He is teaming up with the State Bar President, the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar, and the
Food Bank Association to launch the Legal Food Frenzy to benefit Georgia’s seven regional food banks. The Competition will take place April 23rd through May 4th in conjunction with Law Day.
Lawyers across the state will compete to raise the most food and funds
during the two week period.
” By having the program with Law Day, it provides something that the food
banks really need which is a source of food for our school children over
the summer,” said Attorney General Olens.
All of the food collected in the region will be donated to the Middle Georgia Food Bank and then distributed back into the region.
