Georgia Forestry Commission assisting Middle Georgia residents after Hurricane Helene

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia Forestry Commission has deployed to Middle Georgia to assist with recovery from Hurricane Helene.
Public Information Office for the Incident Management Team, Seth Hawkins, says the Georgia Forestry Commission (GFC) is covering the entire southeast part of the state.
Hawkins says the GFC is engaged with several activities in the impact area, including working with GEMA, FEMA, and National Guard to get emergency supplies to communities.
