Georgia Chamber of Commerce celebrates 100 years
Business leaders and elected officials met at the Macon Centreplex to talk about ways to improve Georgia’s economy. Officials recognize there is a digital divide and that is why they’re trying to put more money for technology into schools. They also said while existing companies are expanding in some parts of the state, they know rural areas are experiencing high unemployment rates.
“Things like transportation, work force development, education. All those things are so important so we can try to balance it out so we can attract those companies that are looking at Georgia,” said President and CEO of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce.
The key note speaker, Dr. Frank Luntz, reviewed presidential candidate poll data. The Georgia Chamber of Commerce also celebrated its 100th year.
