Blue Bird Vision Electric School Bus wins statewide recognition

The Georgia Chamber of Commerce has named the Blue Bird Vision Electric School Bus as the 2026 Coolest Thing Made in Georgia. Manufactured in Fort Valley, this zero-emissions bus demonstrates Georgia’s leadership in innovation and manufacturing, with more than 4,000 buses now in service nationwide. TifTuf Drought Tolerant Bermudagrass was named runner-up for the award.

 

Macon Black Pages marks 35 years of community impact

The Macon Black Pages, a trusted resource connecting Middle Georgia residents with Black-owned businesses, is celebrating its 35th anniversary. The milestone bash will be held August 18th at the Tubman Museum, recognizing decades of entrepreneurship, leadership, and economic empowerment. The event is free and open to the public, with festivities starting at 6:30 p.m.
