Georgia begin its annual holiday campaign to keep drivers safe
MACON, GEORGIA(41NBC/WMGT) — Georgia law enforcement officers will participate in an annual “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign to keep drivers safe this holiday season.
Sargent Evans with the Warner Robins Police Department gave tips on how to stay safe. He said, “First and foremost give yourself plenty of time, you know leave 30 minutes, 45 minutes to an hour in advance so you have plenty of time to get to your destination.”
As the holidays draw near, law enforcement officers want to make sure that everyone remains safe.
Officers will take those who drive impaired to jail. They do not plan to issue any warnings.
