MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Genesis Joy House is hosting Casino Night at the Great Gatsby to raise money for the non-profit and raise awareness about unhoused female veterans in the community.
Found of Genesis Joy House, Dr. Margaret Queen-Flowers, says the non-profit aims to improve the quality of life for unhoused female veterans with many proven programs that break the cycle, creating self-sufficiency and accountability.
Queen-Flowers says Genesis Joy House is the only transitional housing facility in Georgia that exclusively serves female veterans.
The Casino night will be November 9 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for the event.
The event will be at Cary W Martin Conference Center which is located at 233 N Houston Road.
