Geico celebrating four decades of service in Macon
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Geico Insurance Company celebrated four decades of doing business in Macon.
Officials took guest back to when the company opened in Macon, in 1974.
A Geico Regional Vice President, Scott Markel revealed the contents of the 1994 Geico Time Capsule.
There were newspaper articles, photos, a t-shirt and a banner signed by employees inside it.
Frankie Tobias celebrated working forty years for Geico, on the same day as the company’s anniversary.
“It’s amazing sometimes when I talk to people while traveling they cannot understand, I’ve been with a company this long,” says Tobias. “Now a days, you hardly meet anybody who has worked in one place as long as i have.”>
Tobias worked her way up in the company. She started in accounts receivable and now works in Geico’s Specialize Services department.
