MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bass Road bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railway is set to reopen to traffic this weekend, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
GDOT officials said contractors will reopen the bridge and its approaches on County Route 742 on August 23, allowing motorists to resume travel across the route after months of construction.
