GCSU Pres. Leland Named Chancellor at UC Merced

GCSU president, Dorothy Leland will leave Georgia and head west after being named chancellor at UC Merced today.

Leland will be one of three chancellors to guide the newest university in California‘s system.

During more than seven years at GeorgiaCollege, Leland oversaw significant improvements in academic progress and helped expand the campus, which enrolls more than 6,500 students.

The new job brings Leland back to her home state.
