GC Men’s Cross Country, Ryden Win Pop Crowell Invitational
WENHAM, Mass. (GCSU RELEASE) – The Georgia College men’s cross country team totaled just 25 points en route to the team championship at the 42nd Annual Pop Crowell Invitational Saturday at Gordon College (Mass.).
The University of New England took second place, 43 points behind the Bobcats. Georgia College sophomore James Ryden (Atlanta) won the individual race, covering the course in 28:08, nine seconds ahead of Nacho Hernando of NHTI.
Paul McNeil (Dunwoody, Ga.) took fourth in 28:23, just five seconds ahead of Trevor Turner (Snellville, Ga.). Matt Sutton (Norcross, Ga.) crossed the tape in 28:51, good for seventh. Michael Warrick (Marietta, Ga.) rounded out the top five for Georgia College in eighth, posting a 28:55.
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Oct. 4 at the USC Aiken Invitational in Aiken, S.C.
