GBI looking into shooting death of woman in Laurens County

DEXTER, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Laurens County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the shooting death of a 34-year-old woman.

According to a news release from the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the incident on Shy Street in Dexter. When deputies arrived, they found the woman had been shot.

Deputies say that Emergency Medical Services treated the victim. The woman later died at Fairview Hospital.
