Gate closings at Robins Air Force Base
WARNER ROBINS, (41NBC/WMGT) – There will be some gate closings at Robins Air Force base in Houston County. Work crews will be installing traffic-calming devices and cameras for added security.
Starting October 31, the Russell Parkway gate will be closed for about three weeks. After that work is done, the Green Street gate will be closed followed by the Watson gate.
Work at each gate should take about 21 days. To help ease congestion, the Martin Luther King gate will be open and increased to five lanes for the same time periods each of the closed gates would normally be open.
Officials said the work at the gates is for security and employee safety.
