Macon gas station burglarized after clerk’s death last week

MACON, Georiga (41NBC/WMGT)- The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has found the vehicle believed to have been used during a homicide and armed robbery at the Sunoco gas station on Bloomfield Drive.

Investigators received a call Thursday morning about the Saturn Vue being located behind a home in the 3500 block of Log Cabin Drive.


 

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon gas station that was the scene of a murder June 20 was burglarized Thursday morning.

Three people broke into the Sunoco Gas Station at 3306 Bloomfield Drive around 5:45 a.m.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says the back door had been pried open and three men were inside.

They captured one man, but the other two got away.

The detained suspect fell as he ran away and went to the hospital for a minor injury.

This was the same gas station 40-year-old Prakash Patel worked at.

He was shot during an armed robbery Saturday.

The community held a vigil for Patel Wednesday night.
