Frost & Freeze likely this weekend

Can you feel it??  A change in air masses has already begun.  We have finally kicked out the clouds from most of Middle Georgia this afternoon.  That trend will continue as we go through the evening and into the overnight.  There will be a nice cool breeze that will stay with us through tomorrow.  It will go back down to around 5-10 mph later tonight.  Frost and/or Freeze threats are looking likely as well for Saturday and Sunday mornings across most of Georgia.  More on the graphics posted with this.  The weekend looks pretty good for the most part, cool and dry weather with plenty of sunshine.

Tonight’s forecast will be an awesome one!  The clouds will continue to depart the state, and that will leave us with mostly clear skies and cooler temperatures.  Temperatures will quickly fall into the 50’s for the rest of the evening.  So, if you are heading out and about this evening, or to the Cherry Blossom Festival, bring a jacket.  We will start Saturday morning down into the mid 30’s.  Highs will only be in the mid to upper 50’s by Saturday afternoon with plenty of sunshine.

Looking ahead, we will see rain return back to the forecast on Monday.  The rain, at this point, doesn’t look that heavy, but will keep an eye on it.  The rest of the forecast looks a bit unsettled with clouds and sunshine and chances for rain/storms for much of next week.  Temperatures look to be back in the 70’s.  -Chris
