Macon event will offer free screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol and more

The July 8 event will include blood pressure, cholesterol, A1C, BMI and AFib screenings, along with medication and nutrition education.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Atrium Health Navicent and Loaves & Fishes Ministry will offer free health screenings Wednesday, July 8, in Macon.

The event will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Loaves and Fishes, located at 651 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Participants will have an opportunity to learn more about their health and identify potential risk factors for conditions including heart disease, diabetes and stroke.

Attendees will also receive personalized medication and nutrition guidance to help them make informed decisions about their health.

Services available

The free event will include:

Blood pressure screenings

Cholesterol and A1C screenings

Body mass index screenings

Atrial fibrillation screenings

Medication education sessions with pharmacists

Nutrition education

The screenings are scheduled from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 8.
