Free Cone Day returns to Dairy Queen to celebrate start of Spring
Dairy Queen is celebrating the start of Spring with free ice cream cones, no purchase necessary.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – On Thursday, March 19, customers can stop by participating Dairy Queen locations and receive a free small vanilla cone. The promotion is being offered all day while supplies last, with a limit of one cone per person.
The event is meant to mark the start of warmer weather and give people a simple reason to get out and enjoy a classic treat. Whether you’re a regular customer or just stopping by for the occasion, the deal is open to anyone looking to enjoy the chain’s signature soft-serve ice cream.
In Middle Georgia, several locations are taking part in the giveaway, including spots along Gray Highway, Ocmulgee East Boulevard, Pio Nono Avenue, and Log Cabin Drive in Macon, giving residents multiple options to grab their free cone.
There’s no purchase required to take part, but the offer is only valid at non-mall locations and does not apply to delivery or mobile orders.
In addition to the free cones, Dairy Queen is also giving customers a chance to win free cones for an entire year. To enter, customers must download the Dairy Queen app and sign in to a DQ Rewards account. The sweepstakes runs through March 19 and is open to eligible participants across most of the United States.
Free Cone Day continues to be a popular yearly tradition, giving families, friends, and ice cream lovers a chance to enjoy a small moment of sweetness as spring begins.
