Frank Kimmel Races To 78th ARCA Victory

ELKO, Minn. (AP) – Frank Kimmel moved within of victory of tying Iggy Katona’s ARCA Racing Series record Saturday, winning the Akona 250 at Elko Speedway for his 78th win.

The 51-year-old Kimmel led the last 50 laps en route to his second victory of the season.

Tom Hessert was second, followed by Jonathan Eilen, Justin Boston and Ken Schrader.

Kimmel took the lead on the 200th lap after pitting for two tires during a caution, a decision he credited to crew chief Jariod Prince.
