FPD Vikings want to continue streak of six straight winning seasons

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – It’s been 16 years for head coach Greg Moore at the helm of the FPD football program. It’s also been six straight consecutive non-losing seasons for the Vikings. Can Coach Moore’s team make it seven in a row in 2015?

The offense for the Vikings will be returning four starters from a squad that managed 30 points a game last season. Those coming back include star quarterback and senior Will McCormick, as well as senior RB Reggie Gantt.

FPD’s defense gave up just under 24 points a game in 2014, and will be heading into the new year looking for help on their front line. Coach Moore says he has a youthful team that lacks experience, but knows if they do the job they’ll be tasked to do, people will be saying a few good things about them in the future.

The Vikings will be playing their first game on August 27th, a rare Thursday match-up, against the Howard Huskies. The game will be held at Mercer University.
