Fox’s Pizza Den Dishes Up Steak Rancher

SANDERSVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Fox’s Pizza Den is a pizza lovers dream come true. The restaurant opened in September 2006 and remains to be the only one in Middle Georgia.

Customer James Brindell enjoys lunch at Fox’s at least twice a week. He said, “Definitely by far the best pizza I’ve ever had.”

Brindell’s favorite pizza pie is not your typical pizza. He orders the steak rancher which consists of one meat, three vegetables, two cheeses, and ranch dressing as the base.

Owner of Fox’s Michelle Story thinks the sirloin steak really appeals to meat lovers. Then, it’s topped with onions, mushrooms, and sweet peppers. A blend of provolone and mozzarella cheeses cover the top and the pie is baked at 475 degrees for about 6 minutes.

Benjie Tarbutton is a regular lunch buffet customer who enjoys the steak rancher.

“It’s a different sauce, it’s a unique taste, but it’s good,” said Tarbutton.

It’s not your average pizza pie according to loyal customers. They say once you try it, you will more than likely order it every time.

Fox’s Pizza Den is located at 147 East Church Street, Sandersville, GA 31082. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 11 to 9P.M.

Fox’s Pizza Den Steak Rancher Pizza Recipe:
Ranch dressing
5 oz. sirloin steak
1/2 cup onions
1/2 cup mushrooms
3/4 cup sweet pepper strips
1 cup (or more) of provolone and mozzarella cheese blended together
Pizza dough of your choice
Bake at 475 degrees for 6 minutes
