Four Bibb County students earn diplomas at summer graduation

Families gathered at Central High School to celebrate the milestone, with several graduates planning to continue their education at the college level.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Four Bibb County students earned their diplomas Thursday during a summer graduation ceremony at Central High School.

Families gathered at Central High School to celebrate their children’s accomplishments. Some of the new graduates are planning to take the next step in their education and are looking toward college.

Kennedy Matthews-Callum, one of the graduates, shared a message of encouragement for students just beginning high school.

“For those of you new people coming into high school, just keep working and don’t give up. Don’t let people talk you down,” Matthews-Callum said.

District leaders say they hope to see more students take advantage of summer programs in the future.
