Fort Valley to host Juneteenth Celebration

Legacy Group Development is partnering with the City of Fort Valley and Peach County for the Juneteenth Festival.

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Legacy Group Development is partnering with the City of Fort Valley and Peach County for the Juneteenth Festival.

Angela Williams, event organizer, says the Juneteenth Festival will take place over 2 days.

There will be a food drive in Montezuma at Flint River School Park on June 14. The event is free and open to the public from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Juneteenth Festival will be on June 15 at the Hunt Education and Cultural Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be a mini-health department, voter education and registration, job fair, vendors and entertainment. There will also be adult bingo, inflatables and a children’s fun section.

The first 200 individuals will get free food and shaved ice.
