Fort Valley shooting suspect arrested ten months after incident

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Fort Vallley shooting suspect is behind bars in a Fulton County jail.  Georgia State University Police officers arrested 29-year-old Matthew McGowan was arrested Monday night.

According to the Fort Valley PD, in March 2014, 35-year-old Qwinder Trice was found on Troutman Avenue with a gunshot wound in his leg.  An investigation led to McGowan’s arrest warrant.

McGowan is awaiting a transfer back to Peach County.
