Fort Valley Police Officer Arrested
A Fort Valley Police Officer is behind bars for allegedly trying to set up a sexual encounter with a minor in Dahlonega.
33 year old Brett Crowe was arrested on February 2, by investigators in Lumpkin County. According to Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Darren Martin, the arrest came after an undercover operation, in which Crowe had contact with officers instead of a minor.
Crowe is being held at the Lumpkin County Detention Center and is charged with enticing a juvenile and violating his oath of office.
According to the Fort Valley Police Department, Crowe is on administrative leave without pay.
The Fort Valley Police Department will conduct a separate internal investigation at the end of the Lumpkin County investigation.
