Forsyth to host annual Fireworks Over Forsyth celebration

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The city of Forsyth will celebrate Independence Day with its annual Fireworks Over Forsyth event on Saturday, July 4, featuring live music, food vendors and a fireworks display.
The event will be held at Ingram Field, across from City Hall.
The evening begins with a performance by Mass Affect Band at 7:30 p.m. Organizers describe the group as a family-friendly party band. A fireworks show, presented by Freedom Fireworks of Dublin, is scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m. The concert will continue following the fireworks display.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase from local restaurants and food vendors, including The Fig Tree Catering Company, Jenny Italian Ice & Food Factory, Soul2SoulFood LLC and Sweet Mama’s Fresh Squeezed Lemonade.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and arrive early to secure seating. Attendees can use available parking at the Monroe County Fine Arts Center and throughout downtown Forsyth.
No parking will be permitted in the field where the concert is being held. Street closures are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
Organizers also ask attendees not to bring outside tables, tents or grills to the event.
The celebration is free to attend and is open to the public.
