Forsyth to host 3rd annual City Fun Day with free family activities

The free event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Forsyth Police Department is offering free car seat safety checks, installation assistance and education for families.

The department is promoting the service as a way to help parents and caregivers make sure children are in the right car seat and that the seat fits properly.

The department is also preparing for Forsyth’s third annual City Fun Day on Saturday, August 15, in downtown Forsyth.

The free event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will give families an opportunity to meet local first responders.

Activities will include a classic car show sponsored by Bradley’s Angels, bounce houses, face painting, driving simulators and law enforcement demonstrations. Free hot dogs will also be available.
