Forsyth Police, Monroe County Deputies Arrest Man Featured on Crimestoppers
FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Forsyth Police Department and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office arrested a wanted man who was recently featured on Crimestoppers.
A news release from police says 24-year-old Robert Ard of Houston County was wanted for theft by taking, terrostic threats, criminal trespass, and parole violation.
Early Sunday morning, officers got a tip that ard was at the Trade Winds Motel in Forsyth. When they arrived on the scene, Ard had already left. He returned a little while later driving a stolen vehicle from a residence nearby. He was arrested around 3 am without incident. The vehicle, and other stolen items including a gun were recovered.
Investigators are still working the case, and additional charges are pending.
