Forsyth man’s lifelong dream comes true
FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Forsyth nursing home resident’s lifelong wish came true Thursday.
78-year-old Ronnie Keene told investigators with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office that he has always wanted to work in law enforcement.
With help from the Second Wind Dreams corporation, his dream became a reality.
Keene was sworn in as a honorary deputy by Monroe County Sheriff John Cary Bittick. He received a plague and a tour of both the sheriff’s office and the Georgia Public Safety Training Center.
Keene’s day came to an end with a ride along back to his nursing home.
