Forsyth’s Malik Herring set to play in Super Bowl 2025
Former Georgia defensive end Malik Herring will represent the Bulldogs when the Chiefs face the Eagles in Super Bowl 2025.

(AP) – Former University of Georgia standout Malik Herring will take the field for the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 2025, continuing the Bulldogs’ strong tradition of sending elite talent to the NFL’s biggest stage.
Herring, a defensive end from Forsyth, Georgia, played a key role at UGA before signing with the Chiefs. Now, he has a chance to help Kansas City make NFL history as the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will face off in Super Bowl 2025 on Feb. 9 in New Orleans, and Georgia football fans have plenty of reasons to tune in. The game will feature several key players with ties to the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech, as well as multiple players born in the state.
This year’s Super Bowl is a rematch of the 2023 championship game, which the Chiefs won 38-35 in Glendale, Arizona. Kansas City, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce, is looking to become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls. Meanwhile, the Eagles, featuring quarterback Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley, are seeking their first title since 2018.
