Former Wilcox County teacher charged with 77 counts of sexual exploitation of children

WILCOX COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A former Wilcox County teacher and coach was arrested for sexual exploitation of children, according to a press release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

34-year-old Lorenzo Dennard is charged with 77 counts of sexual exploitation of children, three counts of electronically furnishing obscene material to a minor, and one count of improper sexual contact by an employee.

On June 21, the Wilcox County Sheriff’s Office asked the GBI to investigate allegations that Dennard, a former Wilcox County teacher and coach, had an inappropriate relationship with a former student.

Dennard was booked at the Wilcox County Jail and released on bond. The investigation is active and ongoing.
