Former Warner Robins Councilman Found Dead in Home

Tom SimmsWARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- 41 NBC news confirmed this afternoon former Warner Robins City councilman Tom Simms died this morning in his home.

41NBC spoke to Houston County Coroner Danny Galpin, who says Simms died of natural causes around noon. Galpin tells us a medical examiner will see him tomorrow and there is nothing to indicate any foul play.

Galpin also says Simms’ wife came over to check on him; she kept calling but he didn’t answer. When she could not get into the house, she called police, who had to climb through the window to get in. Police found Simms dead in his bed.

Simms was 56 years old. He served one term on Warner Robins city council until December of last year.
