MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Downtown Macon was the site of a national political conversation as former Vice President Kamala Harris brought her 107 DAYS book tour to City Auditorium.

Middle Georgians gathered at the venue to hear Harris reflect on her historic presidential campaign, her time in public office, and what she believes lies ahead for the country.

During the conversation, Harris shared that she wrote her Democratic nomination speech 27 times before delivering it at the convention. She also addressed her thoughts on the Trump administration and laid out her vision moving forward, drawing strong reactions and applause from the crowd.

Looking ahead to the next election cycle, Harris made clear she plans to remain active on the campaign trail.

“Next politically is the midterms, 2026 and I’m going to be out here campaigning for as many folks as I can,” Harris said.

Her stop in Macon was part of her expanded national tour promoting 107 DAYS, which has become one of the defining political books of the year. The visit placed Macon among a select group of cities hosting the former vice president as she continues engaging audiences across the country.

Organizers say events like this continue to highlight Macon as a destination for major national figures and conversations.
