Former Driver Jimmy Spencer Believes Richard Childress Was Wrong

CHARLOTTE, NC – The driver once suspended for punching Kurt Busch believes Richard Childress was wrong to attack Kyle Busch.

Jimmy Spencer says Childress “stepped over the line” when he attacked Busch after last Saturday’s Trucks Series race at Kansas Speedway.

NASCAR this week fined the car owner $150,000 for his actions and said Busch was not at fault in the incident.

Spencer is now an analyst for Speed. He was suspended for one race in 2003 for punching Busch’s older brother after a race at Michigan.

Kurt Busch was sitting inside his race car when Spencer punched him.

Spencer says he also was over the line for punching Kurt Busch and knows he should not have hit him.
