Flying Biscuit Café opens in downtown Macon, offers grand opening deals and Southern favorites
A new spot for all-day breakfast and brunch has officially opened in downtown Macon.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Downtown Macon has a new spot for breakfast lovers: Flying Biscuit Café officially opened its doors Monday morning at 588 Mulberry Street.
The restaurant is owned by Georgia State Sen. Jason Esteves — who is also running for governor — and his wife, Ariel. The couple also owns a Flying Biscuit location in Columbus.
Known for its Southern-style breakfast staples, the café serves up crowd favorites like chicken and waffles, biscuits with apple butter, and creamy white cheddar grits.
“The stuffed French toast breakfast is one of our favorites,” Esteves said. “The other thing is the chicken and waffles, you can’t miss it. But my favorite thing at Flying Biscuit are our grits. White cheddar, heavy cream, it’s amazing. And we like to say that you have a heavenly experience when you have the food here.”
Esteves added that their fluffy buttermilk biscuits — served with apple butter — are a signature item that keeps customers coming back.
To celebrate its grand opening, the first 50 customers each day for the next two weeks will receive a $10 gift card. Guests can also score a $10 gift card by sharing their visit on social media.
The restaurant is also offering a $7 Flying Biscuit Breakfast special, which includes eggs, grits, a biscuit and a choice of meat.
Flying Biscuit Café, which now has more than 30 locations across the southern U.S., is open seven days a week and also offers vegan, vegetarian, and lunch-style options like wraps and burgers.
