Flash Mob ‘Pumps Up’ Crowd at Perry Business Expo
Tonight at the Perry Business Expo, residents got a big surprise as dancers crawled onto the floor and broke it down, in Perry’s first ‘flash mob’.
There was food and freebies, and with one fist pump, a flash mob. 42 vendors and hundreds of residents were startled, but after the dancers hit the floor, it was all anyone could talk about.
“I never heard of a flash mob, so I didn’t know what it was. I thought this was cool, you know, what’s going on here. It was really neat… It brought excitement to the business expo,” says vendor, Dan Stone.
It was the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce who thought this breakdown would be an instant hit.
“The city actually contacted me and asked if I would do it, and I thought it was a great idea, and the kids took to it and loved it,” says Kim Rowley, Owner, Academy of Dance.
More than 500 people came out to tonight’s event. Organizers say it was a huge success, and you never know what you’re going to find when you come out to an event hosted by the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce.
