Five people arrested in connection to animal cruelty, hoarding in Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Five people have been arrested in connection to animal cruelty, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say they responded to a home in the 600 block of Morrow Place on Monday morning to investigate a disturbance. The animals, 20 dogs and eight cats, were discovered during the investigation.
The sheriff’s office did not disclose further information on the animals or their conditions.
43-year-old Tamara Danielle Fisher, 64-year-old Ramona Joyce Jones, 24-year-old Austin Wyatt Listenberger, 33-year-old Leora Cole Porter and 42-year-old Linda Marie Rogers were arrested.
Tamara Fisher is charged with 16 counts of cruelty to animals, 12 counts of aggravated cruelty to animals, misdemeanor obstruction of officers and reckless conduct. Ramona Jones is charged with 12 counts of cruelty to animals and 12 counts of aggravated cruelty to animals. Austin Listenberger is charged with 13 counts of cruelty to animals, 12 counts of aggravated cruelty to animals. Leora Porter is charged with 16 counts of cruelty to animals, 12 counts of aggravated cruelty to animals. Linda Rogers is charged with 16 counts of cruelty to animals and 12 counts of aggravated cruelty to animals.
