Five injured in head-on crash on Rocky Creek Road

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two people are in critical condition and three others were injured following a head-on crash Saturday night on Rocky Creek Road, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The collision was reported to the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at 9:29 p.m. Saturday. Patrol deputies responded to investigate.
According to the sheriff’s office, the driver of a red Kia Soul was traveling west on Rocky Creek Road with two passengers.
Officials said the driver of a gray Toyota Prius was traveling east on Rocky Creek Road with one passenger when the driver attempted to make a left turn onto Bethesda Avenue. The Prius then collided with the Kia Soul.
The Macon-Bibb Fire Department and paramedics responded to the scene.
All five people involved in the crash were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, two people are in critical condition and three others are in stable condition.
The crash remains under investigation. Officials said the information released is preliminary and subject to change as the investigation continues.
