Five Dead in Traffic Accidents Across Georgia over Labor Day Weekend
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – So far, five people have lost their lives in traffic accidents across Georgia this Labor Day Weekend.
According to the Georgia Department of Public Safety, those crashes happened in Douglas, Cobb, Henry, and Madison Counties.
The Georgia State Patrol has investigated 271 traffic crashes since the holiday period began on Friday at 6 p.m.
Those crashes resulted in 191 injuries.
GSP reminds drivers to slow down, leave more space behind the vehicle ahead, be prepared to stop, and make sure your headlights are on when it’s raining.
The holiday period ends Monday night at midnight.
