Fireworks Crews Hoping Third Time’s A Charm for Postponed Show in Warner Robins
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Warner Robins Independence Day celebration fireworks show is rescheduled for Friday, August 09 at 9:30 p.m.
Crews setting up are hoping the third time is the charm.
After disappointing weather got in the way of the fireworks display, a tribute to the Band of the Air Force Reserve, officials behind the scenes say the show is still going to be spectacular.
Fireworks crews are hoping the sunny day they worked in, stays that way until show time.
Allen Tatman is one of the men responsible for putting the show together. He says he’s not giving up because it’s an important event for middle Georgia.
“It was important to all of the sponsors, the Civitan club, the city of Warner Robins, and others to make sure that this happened for Warner Robins and all of middle Georgia,” Tatman said.
Music featured from the reserve band’s big orchestra and jazz band will play, while the fireworks light up the night sky.
If it does rain, Tatman says he’ll have to pack it up and try again next year.
“Set the money aside and wait til next year and that’ll make next years show, be that much bigger and better,” Tatman said.
The fireworks show is at the Central Georgia Soccer Association facility in Warner Robins at 110 Snellgrove Dr.
It’ll be the finale to the Southeastern Little League Championship Game.
