Filming of “The Fifth Wave” causes damage to some downtown Macon buildings
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Multiple downtown buildings were damaged during a planned bus explosion for the movie “The Fifth Wave” in downtown Macon. The incident happened Sunday morning around 3:45 p.m.
“The explosion was much larger than expected and clean up began around 5:30 Sunday morning,” Macon-Bibb spokesman Chris Floore explained. “The production company will pay for all damages.”
The film crews also notified the landlords of the damaged buildings.
