Middle Georgia Hospitals Implements New Visitor Restrictions
UPDATE: Here are the new restrictions for Farview Park Hospital in Dublin.
- Only two (2) well adult visitors per patient at all times. Patients must identify two visitors at admission.
- Only one (1) well adult visitor per ER patient at all times. Patients must identify one visitor at check in.
- Visitation hours are 9am – 7pm
- Children under 18 will not be allowed to visit
DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) –While Fairview Park Hospital does not have any patients who have tested positive for COVID-19, health officials continue to take precautions to keep patients, guests and colleagues safe.
Effective today, the hospital will be limiting public entrances. Patients scheduled for surgery can continue to enter through the Same Day Surgery Entrance. All other patients and visitors can only enter through the ER Entrance. Greeters will be screening everyone with a list of basic questions to check for symptoms.
“Above all else, our goal at Fairview Park Hospital is to ensure patient, visitor, and staff safety. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and out of an abundance of caution, we are limiting visitor and patient access to the hospital,” said Donald R. Avery, President and CEO of Fairview Park Hospital. “At this time, Fairview Park Hospital has not had a patient test positive with COVID-19 and we are taking precautions to minimize the risk of exposure to our patients, visitors and staff.”
They ask that you not visit if you:
- Have had fever and cough or shortness of breath within the past 14 days.
- Have traveled outside the US in the past 14 days.
- Have had direct contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19

Coliseum Medical Centers and Coliseum Northside Hospital:
- Visitation hours will be held 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. daily.
- Visitation is limited to two visitors per patient room, immediate family only, over the age of 12.
As a reminder, the only public entrances for all visitors are the ER and Main Entrance of the hospitals. When visitors or patients arrive on campus, they should utilize those entrances. Greeters at those entrances will ask a few basic questions to help ensure that individuals who might spread the virus get the care they need while not exposing patients, staff and other guests.
We would ask that you not visit if you:
- Have a cough, fever, shortness of breath or other flu-like symptoms
- Have traveled outside the US in the past 14 days
- Have had direct contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19
Medical Center, Navicent Health:
The Medical Center, Navicent Health may be accessed at the following locations. All other entrances will be closed.
-777 Hemlock Street (main lobby)
-770 Pine Street (Emergency Center)
-765 Hemlock Street (Luce Heart Institute)
-Entrances at the Peyton Anderson Health Education Center (877 Hemlock Street) and the pedestrian bridges at the Green and Red Parking Decks will be closed.
-All other Navicent Health facilities may be accessed through their main lobbies and/or emergency centers as usual.
Visitation hours will be held 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. daily.
-Visitation is limited to two visitors per patient room.
-Visitors are asked to stay no longer than two hours per visit.
-Patients in critical care units, pediatric units and birth centers may have one visitor overnight.
-Individuals with cough, fever, shortness of breath or other flu-like symptoms are asked to reschedule their visit.
