Facebook looks into search advertising

Facebook is putting Google on notice that it’s coming after its cash cow—search advertising.

The company didn’t provide a timetable but made it clear it is going to try to make its search function more profitable.

Facebook made the announcement as it posted smashing earnings again especially with ads on mobile devices. The stock is soaring after the report.

Hoverboard owners say they are having issues getting refunds after the recall.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says it has received a slew of complaints from hoverboard owners related to how companies are providing refunds for the potentially dangerous boards.

In some cases, the customers are only offered the money back to buy clothing.

A new law makes airlines refund baggage fees when those bags are delayed.

The refund comes if the bag isn’t delivered to the passenger within 12 hours of the arrival of their domestic flight, or within 15 hours of an international flight.

To get the refund, you’ll have to notify the airline of the lost or delayed baggage.

Shopping site Ibotta looked at 50 million wine receipts in the U.S. and found that buying wine on a Monday, instead of a weekend will save you 6 percent on average.

And it wasn’t just wine, beer was more expensive on weekends too.
