FAA: Boeing 787 Diverted Over Low Oil Indicator

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) – The Federal Aviation Administration says a United Airlines Boeing 787 flying from London to Houston was diverted to Newark, N.J., because of a low engine oil indicator. The FAA says United Airlines Flight 125 landed safely at 2:10 p.m. Thursday at Newark Liberty International Airport outside New York City.

In April, the government told airlines they could begin flying Boeing 787s as soon as they revamped their problematic battery systems. The planes had been grounded for three months. The FAA says it will look into the incident.
