Execution set for Georgia death-row inmate for 1979 murder

JACKSON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – An execution date has been set for a Georgia death-row inmate.  Brandon Astor Jones is scheduled to die by lethal injection on February 2 at the Georgia Diagnostics and Classification Prison in Jackson.

Jones was convicted for the 1979 murder of a convenience store employee in Cobb County.
