Execution date set for Thursday for a Georgia death-row inmate

Clemency was denied for death-row inmate Marcus Ray Johnson. Since the State Board of Pardons and Paroles did not accept his request for mercy and leniency, Thursday’s execution will continue as scheduled.
JACKSON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – This means An execution date has been set for a Dougherty County man convicted of a 1994 murder.
Marcus Ray Johnson is scheduled to died by lethal injection on November 19 at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson at 7:00 p.m.
Johnson is accused of stabbing an Albany woman 41 times with a small, dull knife.
